Kuja

Part of a series featuring the central villains from the Final Fantasy games. I have had Kuja done and posted on DA as the original pencil work for sometime, though just overlayed all the CG colouring in the past few days. I hope you enjoy this, as well as all of the other pieces in this series as they near completion.

You'll note that some of these projects were done with a model or actor used as reference. Main reason i don't alter features so that my chosen reference isn't obvious is due to my huge love of 'fantasy casting', if you will. I love toying around with the idea that i'm actually casting for a film when i'm going through photo's, picking out the most suitable reference for the given character.

Who knows, if SquareEnix ever decides to produce live action films of the FF games, maybe they'll use some of these ideas!
